We Won! International Innovation Award for the New Government Quarter Project
The New Government Quarter project has been recognized with the 2024 Autodesk Design & Make Award, celebrating its groundbreaking use of BIM - powered by custom tools and automation from Reope since 2020.
We’re super excited to announce that the Nytt Regjeringskvartal project scooped up the 2024 Autodesk Design & Make Award for innovation! This project stood out for its impressive work with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and open standards.
Since 2020, Reope has been right in the thick of things, building custom scripts and applications to tackle the unique challenges that come with a project of this size and complexity. From automating workflows to developing tools like a Revit Addin that fit the specific needs of the architects and engineers involved, we've been working alongside the team from day one—and we're still involved today!
Statsbygg has always been a champion of BIM and open standards, and this project is no exception. None of this would’ve been possible without tight collaboration across the board.
The Nytt Regjeringskvartal project is now in full swing. Phase 1 is the biggest of the three phases and includes 101,000 square meters of new construction and rehabilitation—covering everything from the A Block and D Block to the rehabilitation of the High Block and the development of public spaces. Phase 1 kicked off in 2021 and is set to be completed by 2025.
With over 400 architects and studios involved across Norway, Denmark, and Iceland, Nordic Office of Architecture is leading the charge. The project’s design team, Team Urbis, includes key partners like Nordic Office of Architecture, COWI, Rambøll, Aas Jakobsen, Asplan Viak, Bjørbekk & Lindheim, Scenario, SLA, and of course, Reope.
